Castile soap is one of the best products you will ever have in your cleaning closet or basket. Here are some ways to use Castile soap.

Reusable Kitchen Wipes

Heres how to make your own kitchen wipes. Have a few washcloths on hand, mix together, 2 cups warm water, 2 ounces castile soap, and 4 drops of peppermint essential oil. Pour the mixture into a medium-size clean jar and mix well.

 

Place the washcloths into the jar and place the cover on tightly. Shake the jar vigorously so that the dishcloths will be thoroughly soaked. Use the washcloths as needed and when they are all used you may do a regular wash. Your washcloths will be all ready to be used again.

 

Floor Cleaning

Buying expensive chemicals to mop your floor is just a waste of time and money. Many of these floor cleaners always leave streaks on your floors which you won’t like. Using just one cup of castile soap to 2 gallons of warm water will do the trick.

 

Dip your mop into the solution and squeeze out the excess water. You can now mop your floor, leaving it very shiny and clean. The soap will lift all the dirt off the floor leaving no residue.

 

All-Purpose Cleaner

Castile soap makes a great all-purpose cleaner around the home. It is very good at cleaning up everything including messes. You can make it easier to use by mixing together 1/4 cup Castile soap with 1 quart of warm water.

 

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake well. There is your all-purpose cleaner spray ready to use.

 

Dishwashing Soap

Washing your dishes by hand may take a little more time than washing them n the dishwasher.  Using your hands to do the dishes with the help of the famous castile soap will help to cut your electric bill. 

 

To make your Castile dishwashing soap, you need to mix together 1/2 cup castile soap,1/2 teaspoon washing soda and 5 drops of your favorite essential oil.  Pour mixture into an empty dishwashing bottle, and use it for washing your dishes by hand.  Castile soap helps to fight stubborn stains and odors.

 

Non-Toxic Toilet Cleaner 

Castile soap will help your toilet bowl smelling fresh and clean. This soap is non-toxic, so you won’t have to worry about chemical compounds leaving any after-effects in your toilet bowl.   

 

There is nothing to mix only to add a few drops of castile soap into the toilet bowl, and with your toilet brush give the bowl a proper cleaning.

 

DIY Scented Castile Soap

If you want to give a bottle of Castile soap a fragrance that you desire, you can do that by adding some essential oils.

For example, you can put a drop or two of Jasmine or Mint essential oils in your bottle of Castile soap and have the scent you prefer.

 

Carpet Cleaner

There is no need for you to stock up on expensive commercial carpet cleaners.  Castile soap with the help of white vinegar is strong enough to get rid of your carpet stains.  Mix together 6 cups hot water, 2 tablespoons castile soap, 2 teaspoons white vinegar and 5 drops lavender essential oil. 

 

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray on to those stubborn stains. Let it sit for about 1/2 hour and then scrub with a bristle brush.  Your carpet will be looking clean again plus smelling so wonderful by using the lavender essential oil.

 

Window Cleaning

Why not put away all those dangerous chemicals that you have been cleaning your windows with, and try using the wonderful non-toxic castile soap.  This soap acts as an emulsifier which when used will bind the dirt and water together.  Mix together 2 tablespoons of soap and 1 quart of water. 

 

Pour into a spray bottle and spray the mixture on to the windows.  Wipe the windows and then with a clean microfiber cloth soaked with white vinegar you may wipe away the dirty soapy water.  By using this tip it will surely leave your windows sparkling clean.

 

Soft Scrub Soap

Soft scrub soap has a texture that can easily help to erase grease and stains on all types of surfaces.  Instead of running to the store to buy soft scrubs, why not make your own homemade soft scrub soap.  It will work just the same way and even better than the original soft soap. 

 

To make your homemade soft scrub soap you will need, 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup castle soap, 1 tablespoon water and 8 drops of Tea Tree Essential oil.  Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl using a fork. Stir with the fork until the mixture has the texture of a paste.  Transfer the paste into a mason jar, and now you may start cleaning your surfaces with a sponge.

 

Scouring Scrubs

Instead of buying scouring pads to scour your pots and pans,  and even your bathroom, why not make your own scouring scrubs. 

 

To make your homemade scouring scrubs you will need to combine together 1/2 cup castile soap, 2 teaspoons baking soda and a pinch of salt.  The salt will help to cut the heavier dirt.  Pour into a spray bottle and use to scour all that needs scouring.

 

Homemade Liquid Castile Soap

It can be cheaper to buy some bars of Castile soap than buying a bottle of liquid soap.

Grate and melt some bars of Castile soap to make your own budget-friendly liquid Castile Soap.

 

Bedding Wash

Using Castile soap to wash your bedding will help to eliminate all those dust mites from your sheets and spreads and blankets.  Add 1/4 cup of castile soap to the water in the washing machine. and place your bedding in it.   You may add about 1/2 cup of vinegar into the fabric softener dispenser.  Put your machine on the hot water cycle and start the washer. 

 

Once the washing is finished, place the bedding into the dryer.  Turn your dryer on with the hottest cycle.  After all, this is done your bedding should come out well fresh and clean.

 

Hand Soap

Having a bottle of castile soap in your house can help you to save back a lot of money.  You will be able to make your own hand soap, without buying those expensive hand soap at the store.   

 

To make your own hand soap you will mix together 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil, a few drops of lavender essential oil and 1 cup of castile soap.  Mix thoroughly and pour into a spray bottle.  The castile soap is very good for your hands by leaving them feeling smooth.

 

Dusting Spray

Using castile soap as a dusting ingredient will really give you good results.  This soap also helps to repel dust and insects lying around.  Making your homemade dusting spray is a very easy task.   

 

All you have to do is to add 2 cups of castile soap, a few drops of lemongrass essential oil,  {for a little fragrance),  in 1 cup of water.  Mix together thoroughly and pour into a spray bottle.  Now you are ready to dust by spraying and dusting with a microfiber cloth.

 

Fruits And Vegetable Rinse

Before eating your fruits and vegetables it is always best to wash them clean.  Using just pure water will not help to get rid of any bacteria that might be on them.  You will need a cleansing solution that will get your fruits and vegetable very clean and eatable.  If you have a large bowl, fill it with water.  If not fill your kitchen sink with water and put all your produce in it. 

 

Before adding the fruits add 4 tablespoons of castile soap to the water.  To loosen any dirt or debris you may swish around the fruits in the water.  When satisfied that your produce is clean, you will wash them under clean running water.  Your fruits and vegetables are now clean and ready to eat.

 

Homemade Toothpaste

Castle soap has so many different uses. One of the many uses is by using this name brand soap to clean your teeth, instead of using the traditional toothpaste. 

 

On a wet toothbrush, put a couple drops of castile soap on it.  It may take time to get used to the taste, but by continuous use, the taste will become normal.  The castile soap toothpaste will do the same job just like the original toothpaste.

 

Floor Mopping

If you need your floors whether tiled or wooden to become clean and shiny, try using castile soap.  By adding 1/4 cup of castle soap to 2 gallons o water into a bucket will be all you need.
