You won’t always have everything you need on hand at the right time.
And the same goes for when you want to get some household chores done.
But there are usually ways in which you can improvise and get things done.
Here is a good trick for improvising with a regular cleaning sponge…
Cut a hole in the middle of the sponge and place cleaning agents in it.
You will need to use a sharp pair of scissors or a knife to insert and make the cut. Be careful so you don’t cut yourself though 🙂
Insert and use a cleaning agent of your choice.
Toothpaste can be used to clean your shower, pots, and pans.
A slice of bar soap may be used to improvise for liquid soap.
Baking soda could also be inserted to keep the sponge fresh and odorless when cleaning.
Make a hole in the middle of a cleaning sponge, or scouring pad by using a craft knife, scissors or regular sharp to slice it.
Insert cleaning agents in the middle of the sponge where you have cut the hole.
This will allow the sponge to properly absorb and distribute whatever cleaning agents you are using onto any household items you are cleaning.
With a hole in the middle of the sponge, you will also be able to freshen your sponge on the inside when it starts melly unspleasant.
Just insert baking soda and let it soak for a while to absorb any bad odors in the sponge.
